Bubble Painting - A squirt of dish soap, 15 drops of neon food colouring, 1/2 c. of water, straws. Using a straw, students blow until they have a huge pile of bubbles. Gently press paper onto the bubbles, allowing them to pop on the paper. Who says it's just for kids?!?
Children can create beautiful silhouettes with cut out shapes from magazines, or create their own! Lay the cut out on a piece of paper (or use a small bit of gluestick to prevent movement) Paint over the shape with watercolors, rub with crayons, or smudge with pastels- when the cut out is removed, a beautiful silhouette remains. A great art project for animal studies or for learning about shadows and light!
