Cabin Stay in the Scottish Highlands - Sustainable Travel
Last September, we spent a few nights immersed in nature at the 𝗖𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗻𝗴𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘀 - a series of unique off-grid cabins in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. Staying in a bothy is a great way to experience Scotland's natural beauty, enjoy some solitude, and see some wildlife. We loved the location as it's only a short drive away from the towns of Aboyne and Ballater. There is also a range of hiking trails, beautiful castles, and whisky distilleries nearby -...

Efteling Theme Park near Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Have you heard about 𝗘𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 theme park in the Netherlands?🐲 I visited for the first time back in July, and I have to admit, I had no idea it existed until we started planning a family trip. 𝗘𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 is a huge amusement park themed around fairy tales, ancient myths, legends, and fables. It's older than Walt Disney World and much more affordable. We visited for the day, but you could easily spend 2 days exploring the park due to its size. Whether you love the thrill of a rollercoaster, you'r...

Scotland's Pyramid - Prince Albert's Cairn at Balmoral, Aberdeenshire
Standing high above the rolling hills on the Balmoral Estate is 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁'𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗻 aka Scotland's Pyramid. Built by Queen Victoria in 1864 in memory of her husband, Prince Albert, it's one of Scotland’s most unique landmarks! 🥾 This impressive monument can be found on the 𝘽𝙖𝙡𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙣𝙨 𝙒𝙖𝙡𝙠. The short but steep hike takes around 2-3 hours to do. There are 11 stone structures in the area, and they're known as the Balmoral Cairns. Each was built to honour a member of the Royal family, but...

Findlater Castle - Hidden Gem in Scotland
Ever stumbled upon a place that feels unreal? That’s how I felt visiting 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗹𝗲 in the northeast of Scotland. The ruined castle is balancing dramatically inside the cliffs overlooking the Moray Firth. It's been standing guard over the North Sea since the 14th century. It always fascinates me how they were able to build structures like these so long ago! And the walk to get here is just as beautiful as the castle itself. Rugged trails, sweeping sea views, beautiful wildflowers...

Wine Bar in Aberdeen, Scotland
𝗦𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗕𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘀 is the perfect summer spot to enjoy a glass of wine, cocktail, and some nibbles 🥂 It's a stunning new wine bar in Aberdeen that you need to visit! The two-story venue has two indoor bar areas with an extensive wine list and a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere. I loved their French 75 cocktail and Boschendal Brut Rosé 💞 they're worth trying! Amsterdam Canal Boat Cruise
Postcards from Amsterdam 🌷 During a recent trip to Amsterdam, we enjoyed an open-top canal tour with 𝗚𝗲𝘁𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲. A canal cruise is a popular way to see the sights of the city from a unique perspective. There are so many companies to choose from, but we decided to book a unique open-top boat as opposed to a traditional enclosed boat. 🛶 With an open-top, it meant every passenger had stunning views of the streets, could soak in the atmosphere, and enjoy a drink from the bar
