Idea of planting around the bases of the Amelanchier. Mix of grass, domes and multi-stems.
Idea for domed buxus (or similar) on stems - to look as though it's floating above the Yew hedge when viewed from the other side of the garden.
Idea for hostas underplanting in the side borders.
An idea of waved hedge / curves towards the sculptures on the wall.
Astrantia major. Shade-tolerant, long-flowering. Mixed in the central borders.
Pachysandra terminalis. Ground cover. Block planting can be cut to create sharp curves or strong geometric lines.
Amelanchier lamarckii (multi-stemmed). In pairs at each entrance to this section of the garden. Some deciduous interest within the evergreen structure. Also wafting form to create an arch to frame the view of the sculptures on the wall.
Galium odorata; deer resistant shade ground cover.
