Toy museum classroom display- create an animal museum for "animal unit" as part of summative

OMG! WIsh I had come up with this idea!!!! I bet this would really get my gr.1's to think about timelines and how they've changed

History- toys we had as a baby, toddler, preschooler, and now. Children cut out toys from toy catalogues for each part of the timeline, then completed a worksheet.

Dogger by Shirley Hughes. She's a wonder-my childhood memories becoming my children's too :)

illustration from Dogger by Shirley Hughes. I read this book soooo many times to my 3 girls!

take small toys and freeze them overnight in an empty ice cream bucket of water. (Add food coloring for effect.) Use pretty much anything: army men, dinosaurs, Legos, power rangers, little action figures, etc.
