Jules Tardy's sketchbook blog is packed full of great experiments

When he's not working slavishly at Mother New York, Brooklyn-based designer Jules Tardy likes to conduct his own personal experiments in visual language and communication. He catalogues all this extra-curricular activity on his blog where he's beginning to amass a varied body of images and animations that are all the fruits of some serious mucking about. Aside from the bits on show here, there's a few magnificent gifs of Jay and Silent Bob swaying vigorously to Daft Punk's _Da Funk_ that are…

Risograph print by PEOW! studio - The print maintains a watercolour-like appearance. Really like the depth and use of pattern in this print Blue Forest, Character Design Animation, Winter Trees, Silk Screen Printing, Art Background, Art Inspo, New Art, Concept Art, Illustration Art

Some excellent risograph prints from Stokholm’s PEOW! studio

When I stumbled across Olle Forsslöf’s print _Blue Forest_ I couldn’t let it go. Turns out this picture of a tiny figure dwarfed by giant trees covered in diamond bark is part of a short series that includes a breakdown of the (_Final Fantasy_?) traveller’s garb, a red portal and a yellow pyramid. I asked Stokholm-based Olle about it and his reply was so lovely it deserves quoting in full:

Check out some amazing masks created for Arjowiggins' Second Skin competition

When Arjowiggins came to launch their new range of Skin papers they went well beyond a simple press release. Instead they challenged people to create masks and signed up Kriki, Kako Ueda and Bonsoir Paris to get the ball rolling. Their three efforts were stunning, particularly Bonsoir Paris' intriguing pair of blue hands, but rather than be cowed by such a high quality initial set, the good people of the internet have stepped up to the plate and then some.
