A storm beach developed by gravel ridges being driven onshore. Note the lagoon between the storm beach and the low hills of the former coast. Storm waves throw the stones, rounded by constant impact, inland. Wind moves fine material in the same direction but human feet flatten the beach top.

On the right hand side of the Causeway , that runs from the Rhossili cliffs towards Worm"s Head , is a 2 metre Anchor , possibly from The Samuel , a Norwegian Barque transporting Coal from Swansea which ran ashore in 1884.
