PHOTOGRAPHY AND PAINT PORTRAITS - Philippine artist Janus Miralles makes very beautiful abstract portraits by mixing photography and paint as a way to create. Often in black and white, faces are erased with a certain darkness, as if they were burnt.
This portrait is different, the artist has composed this portrait of two medias. I like the effect that the two medias have given and how the collage is a sharp edge. The composition is effective as well with the one hand on the face with the use of make up gives a mood that this collage was produced around Halloween because the contrast with the skeleton collaged covered over half the face.
To see your dark side,to see what you are really up to while not shaming yourself for it reconnects you to your true self & reveals its spacious grandeur.Such vision is a form of mindfulness.Turning against the external tyrant is useless.-David Richo, Ph.D (Art by Antonio Mora)
Inspiration. Photo-montage by Erin Chase. I purely loved how these three images work together as a triptych. Very clever. The landscapes used seem to be endless and seem to be quite serene and isolated
Mapping 2013 on Behance Use a process like this for "identity/self-concept" activity about skin color/shade/tone/palette. Put vertical photo strip of every child together on a couple images to make a collective face.
