REVIEW : "The action comes thick and fast with high energy dancing, comedy and music which features the likes of James Brown, Queen Latifah, Jay Z, Jennifer Hudson, Kool + The Gang, Salt n Pepa, Chemical Brothers, MC Hammer with some original music from Danilo ‘DJ’ Walde. Although centred around hip hop dance, a number of different styles are used to carry along the story at a breakneck pace..."

REVIEW : "I would recommend this show for anyone with young children or teenagers. There is enough expertise and excitement on display to enthrall a young audience and – perhaps – inspire them to create, and explore, their own mythologies through dance."

REVIEW : "The dancing was amazing, demanding much from the cast. Fast, frenetic, athletic, as you would expect from hip-hop, but also lyrical, emotional and expressive where – like with classical ballet – every look and movement means something and assists with the story telling."

REVIEW : "There's wit and warmth elsewhere too: a funk party at an old people's home, a send-up of The Matrix, a drag queen the size of a basketball champion sporting the ultimate in white stilettos, a button-nosed tot who, rather scarily, combines the looks of Tinkerbell with the attitude of Missy Elliott. Add in some whizzy computer graphics and a dollop of old-fashioned feeling, and the audience is left making double the noise they did at the start."

REVIEW : "Set to a recorded track of hip hop excerpts, the ensemble cast uniformly give high-five performances. All are capable of street-wise spoof and hip hop finesse, but their overwhelming qualities are self confidence and good humour. The current, bigger-scale Remixed production perhaps lacks the indie charm of the original, and is possibly more a hip hop pantomime than subversive take on traditional fairy lore."

Into the Hoods: Remixed review at the Peacock Theatre, Sadler's Wells – 'retains most of the original’s charm'

It’s almost ten years since Kate Prince created her first version of Into the Hoods, a hip hop show loosely based on

REVIEW : "It’s moments of imagination and pathos like these that elevate ZooNation into a rarefied space. Kate Prince is a story-teller who seems to give her audience, especially children, enough credit to figure it out for themselves. The dancing is complex and visceral, the energy is always high, and the enthusiasm of the ensemble is completely infectious. The ovation was not only standing, it was dancing."

REVIEW : "Into The Hoods: Remixed is an upbeat family show, with an attractively relaxed and inviting quality. It is a revival, and first played in 2006 as the first ever hip-hop dance show in the West End, created by the since hugely successful ZooNation. The company is created by dancers who were frustrated with being backing dancers and wanted to be performers in their own right."
