My ‘studio’ is a garden shed with a skylight, in an orchard in Cornwall. I paint big, colourful oil paintings of everyday life, usually of people having a good time which necessitates, of course, being where the good times happen. It means camping and cycling around Cornwall and France visiting markets, cafes and beaches, with an ever-ready sketch book. Working up the sketches to big canvases later in my shed provides many days of enjoyable reminders of people, sounds and smells.
