Alison Diaz's photo-collages are not woven, but rather made from many tiny, diamond-shaped fragments of photos, rearranged slightly out of place and sequence.

Vintage photographs chopped up into perfect little diamonds, mixed up with each other, and then rearranged into new dizzying images. Today’s lovely touch of vertigo is brought to you by Californian artist Allison Diaz.

Rupert Bathurst. The artist paid a lot of attention to all the plains on the face and captured a face with amazing personality.

WHO: Rupert Bathurst. WHY: I like how the artist paid a lot of attention to all the lines on the face and captured a face with amazing personality

Fun with self portraits and photography. Have older kids snap pictures of the younger ones and then snap each other in artistic ways. Or have them do a photo shoot one week of someone that is important to them (mom or dad); using art as a way to honor others. Brainstorm what that may look like

I like the fact that this artist has used the proportions of the face in a very abstract way by moving the features. This shows together and apart because all the features are there but they are in a muddled order.

ARTFINDER: Monochrome by andy butler - Pencil and graphite drawing on canvas. A very striking and powerful image of a beautiful woman. She had wonderful big eyes so I emphasised them by adding mo.

Double exposure has worked effectively in this image, because it allows you to think about the artist's intentions.

When you feel bad your mind continues to focus on all the parts of your life that seem to not be working. Then you feel even worse. This all continues until you wake up to the fact that your self-image is just a mental idea. It is just a concept
