We decided this year would be all about stash-busting: using up all those lovely bits & pieces we keep because "They will come in"! Won't they? With that in mind we designed our workshops around using little pieces of paper. Let's face it - some of the papers are so gorgeous and we just can't bring ourselves to throw even the smallest scraps out, can we? I had been using Couture Creations C'est La Vie papers on another project and had lots of pieces left, so I set to and cut them into…
A slightly alternative Wedding Card
This is a wedding card I recently made for my niece's wedding. As she was getting married in Greece, I decided to reflect the beautiful beach setting in the colours I chose and I managed to sneak a photo from the wedding itself, as we didn't celebrate with them until they came home later. I even made a matching envelope from the same gorgeous turquoise paper.
Workshop Samples from our All Day Bumper Card making class. 25th July 2015
Hi, I thought I would share the designs we created on our most recent all day card making workshop last Saturday. All these cards were designed by Carol Woolfenden, so my thanks to her for all her work. The beautiful, delicate die cuts used on this card were all from the Brenda Walton multi die set. (Sizzix thinlets). Drop in again next week for more inspiration.
A swing out card, again using some of the dies from the Brenda Walton set shown in the last post. Also featuring the squares set by Little B ( fantastic dies ) and Graphic 45 Bohemian Bazaar papers. And a variation using different papers from the same range.
Pull-out Slider Card.
This is a lovely design with a clever mechanical feature, resembling a camera shutter action. Definitely one for the boys. What at first appears to be a simple gatefold card, opens to reveal a clever secret message. A second version too.
