this picture is surreal because it is showing a teen loosing pieces from his face. This shows that he is either dying or falling apart. I choose this picture because it is the most satisfying and surreal one i could find. - Jorge Figueroa Block D.

Art pieces around the topic of conflict and war

This is a political design. The use or lack of colour helps extenuate the point the creator wants to create. The use of flowers, as a severe contrast to violence and war, also shows the message of peace, not war. Powerful visuals in a simple way.

Whimsically Surreal Photo Montages by Thomas Barby

Surreal Photo Manipulations // Thomas Barbéy - This image is very beautiful. The illusion / edited effects make this piece very beautiful. I like this concept of photography because it's abnormal, it's different, it's unique, and purely just surreal.

Abstract Portrait- Lucas Simões, I admire the collage and layering of images to build up the portrait, It shows a modern style and the use of city buildings really adds to the character of the portrait

I really like the bright colours of the flowers and how there is bits of the flowers that are still intact so you can still tell that they are flowers. To improve it I would add a darker background to a few of the flowers to add more of an atmosphere.
