Blue prints for the construction of the NACA 16 foot and 4 x 4 foot supersonic wind tunnels at Langley Field, Hampton, Virginia. Dated 1947. NACA (The National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics) was a United States federal agency founded on the 3rd of March, 1915, to undertake, promote, and institutionalise aeronautical research. On October 1, 1958, the agency was dissolved and its assets and personnel were transferred to the newly created National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

GAC-100 WIND TUNNEL MODEL
⁠ A 1/10 scale wind tunnel model of a GAC-100 Commuter airliner. Wingspan: 7ft (214 cm)⁠ ⁠ The model is constructed out of laminated mahogany, and is built to the highest standards, it has moving ailerons, rudder, and trims. The model was tested in the wind tunnel at the Guggenheim Aeronautical Laboratory, Cambridge, MA. The tests were led by Prof. J.T. Bicknell of MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), 26th of February 1969 to 9th of April 1969.⁠ ⁠

DOUGLAS DESTROYER WIND TUNNEL MODEL
A rare late WWII 1/5 scale wind tunnel development model of a Douglas "Destroyer" XSB2D-1 dive bomber, circa 1942. The model was made by N.A.C.A. and tested at their Ames research facility, Moffett Field, CA . The National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA) was on March 3, 1915, to undertake, promote, and institutionalize aeronautical research. On October 1, 1958, the agency was dissolved and its assets and personnel transferred to the newly created NASA.
