Most parents fear the safety of their child, but what if their child was a danger to themselves. Self harm is a very important issue and using photography and my artwork I feel I could really address the issue.

(People) "lets say that to tear a painting is the kill the person trapped inside it. what if they could reach out and tear the painting themselves to be lost forever?" - I think this is an interesting concept to have of what a piece represents.

In this image, I can see a woman's face has been cut and as it reaches the top of her head, the pieces start to fly away and scatter. This would have been done using scissors and maybe glue to keep each piece in place -over all, this image has been photographed (the woman's face), created, and then photographed again.

This picture is very cool because of how the artist manipulated the subject by making parts of her the same color as the wall behind her.
