MATERIALS | Antique textiles, walnut ink, stitching and beads. DIMENSIONS | 8" x 13" "I try to begin each piece without preconceived ideas. My first step is to chose the fabric/ garment I want to work with. Much like the rest of my process this is very intuitive... The next step is the walnut ink stain... The dye, once it hits the fabric, has a mind of it’s own and spreads quickly into flowing, organic shapes. This shape becomes the “map” for my stitching." - Erin
