Phyllostachys nigra (full sun or part shade) - Black Bamboo. Perfect, evergreen, privacy border for along fence and front of yard. Have to lay down barrier around planting areas so that it does not spread like wildfire (can be invasive but can also be managed if planned well). Beautiful jet black/mottled green and black bamboo stalks. Wood is very sought after by woodworkers. Functional and pretty.
