George Charles' second shop, on the corner of Nell Lane and Burton Road. Telephone number: Didsbury 1108. Donor's father right; woman on left unknown; donor in centre aged 3 or 4. c.1910. The business moved to Lapwing Lane in the 1920s. The donor, Ernest Charles, is one of five brothers: Gabriel (Sunny), George, Ernest, Sam and Harry Charles. Donor born 1906.
