A new home for the ARCHITECTURAL MUSEUM in Brompton! From The Builder (11 July 1857) in the #RIBACollections. The museum hoped to "supply that great and increasing want, now felt by the public, architects, artists, and art-workmen, of the means of referring to and studying the architectural art of the past ages, and of those arts which have had their origins in architectural art". It was later folded into the V&A.

The Tecton Group (1936) were founded in 1932 and pioneered radical new modernist architecture in England, although today they are best known for the double-helix shaped penguin house at London Zoo.
