ADHD, Menopause and Me

Life isn’t easy! I talk honestly and openly on my journey, with a little bit of humour about my life, the mistakes I’ve made, mental health & motherhood. And along the way, I’ll share some of the stories from this lockdown period, as well as homeschooling a Dyslexic child.

About Me | ADHD Menopause and Me
Jumping on the ‘24 trend and sharing a little bit about me and my account (and family) to all my lovely new followers. My life is very much focused on Sam and his journey at the moment, so expect quite a bit of that on my feed. His assessment journey, his EHCP journey and school journey. But along the way I share information, tit bits and lived experience of parenting ND kids whilst ND myself, menopause and ADHD and a little bit of lip sync for fun along the way. I hope you stick around, I love meeting new people (well not IRL, I’m too shy for that 🫣🤣)

10 Signs I Have ADHD (from my childhood) | How Felicity Finds
Heading into the final half term of primary school for Sam and for me as a parent 🫣 it got me thinking back to when I was his age. Looking at the symptoms for girls (as opposed to boys or older women) then I confirmed just how many affected me when I was that age without realising. Have you ever looked back into your childhood to see how it affected you then? #ADHDWomen #ADHDinGirls

ADHD Burnout - How To Manage Signs
A little over a year ago I suffered a pretty catastrophic episode of burnout. Unable to work or cope with even the most simple daily tasks. It took over three months, medication and a lot of support from family and friends to be able to return to work. However, none of this would have been sustainable if it wasn’t for my taking the above steps. Recognising that my brain worked differently just like my boys, has allowed me to approach life in a way that works for me. A woman sits in front of a computer trying to get started working, but is distracted by coffee and sits staring out the window. Life Hacks, My Brain, So Grateful
ADHD Life Hacks
I can’t deny that life is still utterly overwhelming at times (most of the time). But I’m so grateful to understand now that it is my brain, and not that I’m just literally rubbish at life. It has allowed me to be a little less tough on myself and also think of ways to help. I know that I’m not alone in the everyday struggle of managing life as a neurodivergent (ND) parent with ND kids. So I wanted to share 5 of the ADHD life hacks that I have found really useful. #ADHDWomen #LifeHacks #ADHD

ADHD Diagnosis | A Road Less Travelled | Our Story
When you begin your journey with ADHD it can seem a lonely place. If like me you knew little about ADHD (naughty little boys?) then knowing where to start is daunting. It doesn’t help when respected broadsheets like The Times, allow the publication of articles like ‘I’m Sorry, but all this ADHD doesn’t add up’. Celebrity Johnny Vegas made an innocent comment last month, explaining his recent diagnosis, saying “Everybody has an element of it. It’s how strong your filter is”. This seemingly throwa
