76's at Brookside
76007 & 76008 have taken over an empty MGR coal train from a class 47 at Brookside yard on the Woodhead Route. The train was from Fiddlers Ferry power station and is making it's way back to one of the many pits on the Yorkshire coalfield. 1/10/1976
On Borrowed Time
26021 and 26030 glide almost silently through a doomed and gloomy Sheffield Victoria 29 Dec 1969 During the last week of scheduled operations at Sheffield Victoria which was closed to passenger traffic with effect from 5 Jan 1970.

“Seems to be a lot of interest in the Woodhead route; here are class 76s 76025 and 76023 at Torside in Longdendale taking a train of empty coal hoppers back across the Pennines in August 1974. Such a shame the line was abandoned @WoodheadRoute”
