WWI: London General Omnibus Company: women bus conductor on service. The conductor stands on the bus platform, with passengers about to board; others can be seen sitting inside the bus.

An unusual view of bomb-damaged LT-type bus, LT669, which has just been lifted from the bomb crater in Balham into which it had fallen on the night of 14 October 1940. It can be seen that the roof of the bus is missing, and all the windows have been smashed. A group of workmen are standing on the road, watching the operation. Note the damaged building on the left.
