ISODESIGN | Animated Identity | Motion Graphics | Sigma Films. We created a brand new animated identity for leading Scottish production company Sigma Films. We took inspiration from the electro-mechanical rotor Enigma Cipher, spinning circular shutters, and early pre-film animation techniques, resulting in an animated ‘film cipher’. We’ve spent over 20 years working with the good folk at the legendary Sub Club where we’ve developed some of the clubs most distinctive print and promo campaigns. For Subculture’s 25th anniversary we’ve created some “audio augmented artwork”. A limited edition series of images, flyers and posters will be appearing across the city, all enhanced with an exclusive mix from Domenic. ISODESIGN | Freedom Scripted Entertainment | Animated Identity
New Scottish independent TV production company Freedom Scripted Entertainment approached us to develop their branding and application for print, motion and digital. We looked at old typewritten drama scripts and found the aesthetics of the visual conventions, traditional formatting and geometric typewriter font effective. From there we developed a bespoke font, based on that vintage typewriter script and titled it ‘Freedom’.

Four years ago we lugged a photographic backdrop of the American desert to the great Scottish outdoors for Justin Currie’s third solo album, Lower Reaches.
