Jason Bartlett AS Photography © This photograph is influenced by Magnum photographer Bob Adelman. There is much detail presented to the viewers of my fathers face making it more in comparison to Adelmans; work who also gets in close-up to peoples faces showing they're true expressions.

Jason Bartlett AS Photography © In this photograph of my Grandmother, I controlled the harshness of natural light. I changed the ISO setting on my DSLR camera which can switch the amount of light that is let in through the cameras lens. Overall, I managed to make a contrast that gave off a documented style/feel.

Jason Bartlett AS Photography © Taking this photograph was really fun but was a tricky challenge. I had to use the articulating screen on my camera to see the live view and then position it around the table top. I eventually found a good spot that made the objects on the table go out of focus showing the depth of field to the next table in front.

Jason Bartlett AS Photography © While finding a seat and sitting down in McDonalds, I noticed many people using their mobile phones. This was a good concept surrounding the idea of documentary that I came up with and took the first opportunity I had.

Jason Bartlett AS Photography © A glass of beer represents a confrontation of mixed emotions piled up in the idea of a documentary theme. I thought about this one for a long time, eventually concluding in the end, that it was worth adding to the collection of the shoot anyway.

Jason Bartlett AS Photography © The use of black and white photography, I think, makes photographs look more official and reaslitic as a documentary piece. This photo I took makes the room seem almost pitch black yet the natural light shedding through the background windows creates an emotional atmosphere.

Jason Bartlett AS Photography © Like many Magnum photographers believe, to get to the documentary of others they must begin with taking it of they're selfs; thus making me do my own portrait of myself!

Jason Bartlett AS Photography © I have created this photograph in the style of Magnum photographer Peter Marlow. He has made one similar with the actor Kevin Spacey who is looking out of a window. I asked my Granddad, while we were in a restaurant, to pose looking out at the window; there was just enough visible natural light coming throung to reflect off of his glasses which makes this even more interesting and professional.

Jason Bartlett AS Photography © While I was with my family on a day out, we went to a restaurant near West Wittering, Itchenor; where this photgraph was taken. The idea of a documented theme is to present the thoughts of what happens around us in our everyday lives. For example, some people do activitys to escape everyday problems faced on a daily basis. This is a highly photographed aspect as it can vary.

Jason Bartlett AS Photography © I was waiting in the queue at Mc Donalds for sometime. So I attempted to focus in on the clothing of the lady in front of me. I thought this came out alright due to the fact when your waiting for something you concentrate on the small and different objects to occupie/fill your time.

Jason Bartlett AS Photography © While buying a drink in McDonalds, I sneakily took a photograph at the cashier desk. The out of focus pin machine makes the photograph stand out to my other documentary photos I have taken in fast food restaurants.

Jason Bartlett AS Photography © I took this photo while waiting in the line at McDonalds. The dim lighting made my camera aperture setting darken but it came out reasonably good.

Jason Bartlett AS Photography © I walked into Burger King finding it really packed with a massive queue. This was just what I wanted but everyone would see me trying to take images with my camera. So in that time of waiting, I turned round and took a picture of the people sitting down eating.

Jason Bartlett AS Photography © This was one of the first photos I took for the third shoot and I think that the perspective came out rather well, considering I accidently had the lens on manual focus. In all, the artificial lighting made it turn out like Magnum photographer Martin Parr's work.
