Orthodox Celts are a Celtic Folk Rock band from Belgrade Serbia. They have an army of fans that follows wherever they play. The band is one of the top acts of the Serbian rock scene and has influenced many younger bands across the region. Watch out for them on your travels as they regularly tour Serbia, Greece, Macedonia, Italy, Bosnia, Hungary, Slovenia, Montenegro and Switzerland.
As Elvis says on 'Fun in Acapulco', "Acapulco, sleeping in the bay, Acapulco, wake up and greet the day, Time to tell the guitars and sleepy eyed stars..." Hail Hail the Celts are here, so open all the bars." John McCormick is the man in the Hoops about to become an exhibit in the Acapulco Hall of Fame.
What better setting for the Hoops than The Valley of the Kings? Average Joe Miller reliably informed us that during his visit he got one of the local guides to translate the hieroglyphics in the tomb of King Tut. "Come On You Bhoys in Green" apparently.
An appropriately grainy black and white image of Rory O'Callaghan in the old crushed canary green away strip standing in front of a statue of the Russian left-winger Josef Stalin. If you're wondering where such statues were still standing in the 90s the answer is the glorious workers paradise of Albania (a place called Korce to be exact).
