Rum, mint and fizz, the Old Cuban cocktail is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

Old Cuban cocktail

Old Cuban cocktail A twist on the classic mojito 40 g caster sugar ½ a lime, juice from 70 ml Bacardi 8 year old dark rum 1 sprig of fresh mint, leaves picked Angostura bitters a handful of ice cubes 50 ml Prosecco

You can use good Prosecco (Italian sparkling wine) rather than Champagne for this recipe, and quite honestly, you'd never know the difference. Also, you get great results from puréed peaches or even strawberries instead of pomegranates, but I always think it's best to stick to what's in season.

Wicked Champagne cocktail

Wicked Champagne cocktail This champagne cocktail is with freshly squeezed pomegranate juice and it works great with Prosecco too, or try it with peaches and strawberries. The combination is wicked but the taste is incredible tasty! Read more at

There's one really good reason to make this – chocolate! It's what makes the world go round, especially for my girls, they'd go mad for this. You can make it a few days before then just pimp it up with the accompaniments at the last minute. This is also a good one to do with the kids, as they can get involved in all the prep.

Delicious chocolate mousse With sour cherries and bashed-up sesame snaps "This chocolate mousse recipe is chock full of delicious, little-bit-naughty ingredients"

This is the simplest recipe in the world and possibly one of the best Champagne cocktails I've ever tasted. A great way to start a summer dinner or party.

This pudding is delicious and, because you are making the ice cream yourself, great for dinner parties. Don't worry though, you'll see it isn't at all difficult to make. If you are really short of time, you can leave the homemade ice cream and opt for a good-quality, shop-bought vanilla ice cream instead. PS You HAVE to go for full-fat yoghurt in this recipe or you'll get loads of ice crystals and it won't taste as nice

I recently had this fantastic drink at my mates Arthur and Jamies restaurant (Acorn House in London, worth a visit). Not only was it a refreshing start to our meal, but it also reflected the rhubarb season brilliantly. You can buy some half-decent sparkling wines and Proseccos with reasonable price tags these days, so this recipe makes you feel like youre having a bit of affordable luxury.

This hot chocolate is off the scale. It's so simple to make and is much better than that shop-bought stuff you get, which is often full of rubbish and probably hasn't got much chocolate in it anyway. I don't want you to feel cheated, I want you to have the real thing… life's too short not to.
