Now I know chair squats aren’t always the most comfortable movements- especially if you have knee or hip arthritis ☝🏽 But accumulating a set amount throughout the day can be a helpful place to start! You don’t have to do them all at once ✅ When it comes to lower surfaces- you need the appropriate leg strength. In order to build leg strength you have to add more to what you typically do. For example, if you typically stand up and sit down 10 times throughout the day- try to add 10 additional to that number.  Your body is likely already used to what you do everyday so it may not be enough of a challenge to keep building strength 🤔 Be purposeful with your chair squats. If you’re going to get up- so 3 stands instead of one.  Use your hands at first if needed and find a surface that you can stand up and down from.
