A young Gary Numan

During the Tubeway Army days.

Gary Numan, 1979 was when I heard his classic "Are Friends Electric?" neither I, nor my fellow Montreal's could get enough of it. The video, never shown in North America, was banned in Britain. The song is about a man who hires a 'Friend' (human-looking robot) for sex. But, the majority of you will know Numan, from his song/video "Cars". (DB)

Art Nouveau deck

Art Nouveau achitecture- an attempt by artists and artisans to develop a style with no roots in earlier artistic forms. Its proponents saw it as a revolt against the eclectic nature of art and design of the Victorian Period.
