A Japanese ivory okimono of a Woodsman and His Son Meiji period 1868 - 1912, the standing figure leaning upon his axe whilst holding a tobacco pouch and pipe a basket of firewood strapped to his back his Son holding a double gourd flask looking anxiously towards his father signed lacquer tablet to base. Height 19 cm.
