Dovedale is a popular dale in the Peak District of England. It is owned by the National Trust, and annually attracts a million visitors. The valley is cut by the River Dove and runs for just over 3 miles (5 km) between Milldale in the north and a wooded ravine near Thorpe Cloud and Bunster Hill in the south. The wooded ravine contains an attractive set of stepping stones which are often featured on calendars, and two caves known as the Dove Holes.

The Peak District in Derbyshire. A climb to the summit of Mam Tor provides great views. Well known for its caverns, you can visit these from Castleton - take a boat trip inside Speedwell Cavern to the Bottomless Pit, or enter the Devil's Arse at nearby Peak Cavern. If the steep valley of Cave Dale above the village looks familiar, you're probably a fan of The Princess Bride. It was here that Westley tumbled down the hill and was recognised by Buttercup.

The Devils Arse Cavern in Castleton , So called because of the flatulent noises that emit from its depths. Its name was changed in the1880s, when Queen Victoria came to visit to "Peak Cavern" but the original name has had a bit of a resurgence.
