Teaching Letter Recognition - what order to introduce letters

I don't agree with the order for teaching letter recognition but there are some fabulous games to play to help promote letter recognition that are very simple to do.

Made my own blending line for my reception class today... They were very intrigued and hopefully it will encourage them to think about the sounds that make up words :)

Blending line - Teaching and practising blending for reading VC and CVC words and segmenting for spelling.

HFW - Tricky word skittles, phonics.

Sight Words Ring Around A Bottle - students toss the ring and say the word if the ring lands one of the bottles.
