Seeing Glasgow by Tram and Bus - official guide issued by Glasgow Corporation Transport, 1936
A slightly sinister welcome to the Corporation's transport services - I like the fact that the cap badge has, as the numeral, the year of the guide - 1936. It is one of what was an annual edition at the time, each with a different and highly colourful cover artwork. At the time Glasgow, as befitted the city, had one of the highest regarded municipal transport operations.
TheGlasgowStory tells the story of Glasgow in words and pictures, told by some of Scotland's best writers, and illustrated with thousands of images from the collections of the city's world-famous libraries, museums and universities. From football to fashions, Auchenshuggle to Yoker, you'll find it all here.
