Manchester

I love this little gem tucked between two larger buildings. How wise not to tear it down. If i could buy any building in Manchester and make it a jewellery shop, id choose this one - its so beautiful, i LOVE IT!

Sinclair's Oyster bar (on the right of the photo). In the late 1970s, Sinclair's was raised 5 metres, to make room for the Manchester Arndale centre. On the 15th of June, 1996, Manchester city centre was bombed by the IRA (grr, the buggers!) and underwent a huge regeneration. By 1999, Sinclair's had been moved, brick by brick and rebuilt over 300 metres away from its original spot. Much recommended, if you ever visit Manc Town (when i worked nearby, i'd have my lunch there, almost daily)

Shambles Square, Old Wellington Inn and Sinclair's Oyster Bar - More amazing that this pub survived the bombing and then a subsequent move!
