And finally, here is a sampling of the collographs that came out of the 2nd half of the printmaking class. Above is an acrylic plate with a design made out of beeswax and then inked with Akua waterbased inks. Making the collograph plate. Inking it carefully by hand. Layers Series No. 2 - Original Collagraph Fine Art Print OOAK
This upcycled print is a collagraph made from discarded wallpaper samples. I cut pieces of different shapes and textures and glued them to a plate before inking them by hand with a brush and then running them through a Brand Etching Press. Each is a on-of-a-kind original, as they are hand inked with layers of colors that vary with each printing. They are printed on nice, thick Rives BFK and pick up a nice embossed effect from printing on damp paper. This is the second of the series. The…
