A soldier of 22 Regiment Royal Engineers, part of 1 Mechanized Brigade watches as soldiers reinforce security at FOB (Forward Operating Base) Shawqat in Afghanistan. Each Armoured Engineer Squadron provides close engineer support to the battle groups within 1 Mechanised Brigade, predominantly with the TITAN bridge layer and the TROJAN Armoured Engineer vehicles and Combat Engineer sections.
