I like the combination of hand sketches and physical model. Whilst this makes the project look like a work in progress this method could be used in a more sophisticated manner to display a final design. Creation of this piece would require hand sketching, Architecture Model Making, Paper Architecture, Architecture Drawings, Concept Architecture, Architecture Design, Conceptual Model Architecture, Creative Architecture, Architecture Student, Planer Layout

This white card sectional model is brought to life through the layering of vactorised hand drawn scale figures and internal details. Without these elements and the inclusion of labelling this would not have been such a successful communication piece. Create through physical modelling, hand sketching, vector line drawing and editing/layering in photoshop.:

Concrete architectural sculptures by Montreal-based architect and sculptor David Umemoto. The works are inspired by Brutalist architecture, a style that became popular with government projects, high-rise housing, and shopping centers and are characterized by their massive, fortress-like appearance usually dominated by exposed concrete construction. Umemoto's sculptures can be decomposed into modular sections that can be reorganized and combined with others to create cities or surreal places…

Brutalist sculpture or brutalism would be the way I would describe David Umemoto's work. Love his work with concrete and his amazing geometric sculptures. Building Fragile Cities: Paper Models by Stephanie Beck

Stephanie Beck creates intricate paper sculptures, topographies or maze-like invented cities which play on different scales of perception: the houses might be seen as models but they also are 1:1 sculptures or birdcages. The cut-out paper structures look at the same time like unfinished...
