South East Cornwall has a great food heritage and boasts a wide range of eating opportunities, from award-winning Michelin trained chefs to brilliant pub dining. See below for a few local pubs & restaurants. For more eateries, do also have a look at our Dog Friendly Pubs board - these are within a 30 mile radius of Kernock. Several are award-winning, many have fabulous views, and they all take dogs.
The Devonport Inn, Kingsand - lovely gastro-pub with a French chef-patron Jerome. In a stunning setting overlooking the sea. Very dog friendly both inside and out. The pub is accessible, and has accessible loos.
The Weary Friar -Steve & Stella are very welcoming and keep great beer. Book if you want to eat, especially Friday night or Sunday lunch as it is very popular. Wheelchair accessible (but no accessible loos, so watch the beer intake!
Royal William Yard, Plymouth - recently developed and has lots of good restaurants (all accessible) including River Cottage, Wagamama, Seco Lounge, Bistrot Pierre, Prezzo... so lots of choice of eateries and spectacular views over the Sound (I took this photo in November from the terrace of River Cafe).
