Wherever woodworkers gather, stories of accidents and near-misses turn up eventually. Maybe the term ' mishap' is misleading here because 'accident' indicates the injured person is a 'victim' of situations beyond their control; in many cases, it might be better to state that the ' criminal' suffers the consequences of his or her own recklessness.
