Viking "huts" - is there archeological evidence for this? Looks like the Oseberg tent frame converted to a more permanent solution.

Popular Viking huts, were they set up in foreign areas. These were easy to set up like tents and would provide shelter when exploring.

viking earth-dug out hut, used by merchants/craftsmen on markets. Probably from Ribe Reenactment viking settlement. They have a hut exactly like this one.

An a-frame with the merchanting style side-panel door. I don't believe there's any authenticity argument for this set-up, but it sure is convenient. This particular tent doesn't even appear to have traditional door panels.
