Island of Miyajima, an island in Japan which is basically a tourist hotspot for the Japanese.  These sacred deer wonder around and beg for food (by nodding), the whole place is deer crazy; you can get photos taken in booths with pictures of deer on them, deer frequent all parts of it, deer figures are rife and the island also has a huge mountain, complete with cable cars and angry monkeys.

It is so wild the places trees can grow. I have seen trees grow on rocks in what would appear to be not nearly enough soil. They grow slowly but can survive through old age in conditions that can hardly be believed. Tenacity in the face of difficulty.
