Fine Motor Counting Activity

Fine Motor Counting Activity

FINE MOTOR COUNTING ACTIVITY - This wonderful seasonal counting activity uses leaves to develop early math one to one correspondence, number recognition and develop fine motor skills too.

Spring or Fall Sensory Tub-- Birdseed as "base", with things like bark and acorns and pine cones and twigs and real leaves and real nuts (as long as there are no allergies!). I love the squirrel toys, and think that having places to "hide" the nuts would make this sensory activity even more awesome! Maybe in a fake, hollowed-out "tree"...

Let the kids collect items, and then play with them. Autumn Sensory Play from Pre-school Play
