The latest addition to the highly successful Artist Collaboration Collection with German Artist Stefan Heyer, ‘The Raw Earth’ has been skilfully hand-knotted in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal using the world’s oldest traditional skills in the finest Tibetan wool and Chinese silk.
German artist Stefan Heyer specialises in layered, gestural abstract paintings, as he drips the paint and scrawls words with the use of mixed mediums including oil paintings, acrylic paints, crayon, pencil, marker and photo transfer. In this particular piece, 'The Raw Earth' Heyer has used oil, pastels and pencil on canvas in natural, earth tones.
The Bloom & The Thorns is an interpretation of an original painting by American Artist Brian Coleman. Inspired by a trip to Lake Wylie in South Carolina, Coleman designed this piece based on the reflections on the water that he saw, the lines and shapes derived from a map of the lake and blooming roses from the surrounding areas. The Brian Coleman collection consists of 7 rugs in total, with bespoke sizes and colourways also available upon request. Production time 20 - 24 weeks.

Polonaise is a 17th Century Classic design, based on an original rug housed in the MAK Museum in Vienna. This Polonaise design has been modernised and brought into the 21st century with the use of vibrant colours and modern techniques such as oxidisation, which affects the wool beneath the overriding layer of silk, creating an extraordinary 3D effect with a unique look and antique appearance.
Inspired by traditional carpet designs from the 16th-18th Century, our 17th Century collection has been meticulously hand crafted in the city of Jaipur. Each design in this collection pays homage to the intricate motifs and symmetrical compositions and showcases the finest craftsmanship, drawing from the rich heritage of Persian carpet designs. Origami Sand takes inspiration from the traditional Japanese art form known for its transformation of 2D paper surfaces into sculptural 3D pieces. The bold geometric design is created by blending together 7 shades of neutral, which work to emulate the refracted light caused by the construction of these angular forms. The Tibetan wool yarn provides the rug with its sandy hues, while the integration of Chinese silk within the lighter areas emphasises the contrast between light and dark.
