Acquired photo. The colliery was sunk into the reserves at Pleasley, the North shaft was initially sunk to 525yds with the Top Hard seam reached at 516yds. Probably deepened to the Dunsil in 1907 and certainly deepened in early 1950s to 591yd with 2nd Waterloo inset at 566yd. The initial sinking lasted from 1872-3 until 1877 at the North pit and 1879 at the South pit. The South shaft was deepend to 903yds with the Deep Hard seam at 758yd (adjusted).
