Robbe und Berking Classics -„NIRVANA“, designed by Olin Stephens, was built by Abeking & Rasmussen 1939 and sailed under German flag holding sail number G-40. The yacht was completely destroyed in a major fire in 1959.

But it has long since been superseded by glassfibre and other variations of plastic, while aluminium – for more than two centuries the "metal of the future" - is now widely accepted for small boats which get rough usage but little maintenance.
