Chile’s riding possibilities are probably the most diverse in South America, with the best places in the country being the far south and far north of the country. In the south the Andes meet the ocean and the clash of the climates has left some spectacular peaks which are ideal for riding around. In the far north the desert like landscape is home to pre Inca ruins, flat salt lakes and valleys with moon like features.

With year round good weather, and spectacular surroundings the Atacama Desert in Chile is a paradise for outdoor excursions. One of the nicest walks is following the Puritama canyon for 3 hours to the Puritama hot springs and driving back.

Torres del Paine National park in the far south of Chile’s Patagonian region is probably the most spectacular in South America.
