Rubbermaid Container Garden
This is my "recipe" for a Container Garden using Rubbermaid containers. It is a cheap and effective way to garden, and is very easy to get together. First, decide what plants you would like to grow and the amount of space you will need. Consider the region you are in, the space available, and monetary investment. Aquilegia Dorothy Rose -- Bluestone Perennials
Unique flower display! Dorothy Rose flowers are quite distinctive as each one has several blooms set inside one another. Sunflower Fort! We have done this several times for our kids and they and their friends have LOVED it! It can get muddy so remember stepping stones inside. We just planted them according to the directions--no stakes or strings. Easy. My girls even liked playing with dinosaurs to dolls in their fort.
Blue Denim Verbena. Verbena are one of the most heat- and humidity-tolerant of garden annuals, and they take drought in their stride. Great in a basket or container, and they make splendid, colorful ground covers. Plus, they are easy to grow and adaptable as to soils, their main requirement being good drainage. Though they take drought well, bloom is more prolific if you water when the top inch of soil is dry. Deadhead in late summer to rejuvenate for fall.
