#CurrentlyReading #2

Remember when I said I was going to read 20 books before I bought any new ones? Ha! Clearly I don't know myself very well. I've bought a few a couple of books this month and I have been loving reading. I don't feel so bad because I've been racing through books at the moment so none of them have been sitting on my nightstand gathering dust while I get lost in YouTube videos or boxsets. In my last #CurrentlyReading post I'd just picked up Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. After finishing it…

I'm about half-way through this and really enjoying it, but put it aside to keep up with the book club. I'll come back to it and finish at my leisure. Latest Books, New Books, Good Books, Books To Read, This Is A Book, The Book, Most Popular Books, Books 2016, 2017 Books

I haven't posted a TBR jar post in a little while and that would be because I received a book from Love Reading. So I've come of the TBR 20 track a little bit but I didn't spend any money on the book so it's not really the end of the world. Also this was a book that I was really excited to read so couldn't wait to get into it when it arrived in my letter box. 'The One in a Million Boy' by Monica Wood has been compared to 'The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry', 'Our Endless Numbered Days'…

Reads and Reading #1

Did you know that it's easier to make something habit if you do it in the same place and at the same time every time you do it? I've been employing this piece of information in my life in several ways recently, one of which has been in my reading habits. And also my sheet changing habits. This may sound odd but if you've been keeping up with me here at LPL recently you'll know what I'm talking about. Sundays have taken on a whole new greatness for me over the past couple of weeks, I know…

Inspired by the podcast Bookish Blether about changing the bed sheets, rituals and new books Happy Sunday Everyone, Bed Sheets, New Books, Lemon, Inspired, Lifestyle, Reading, Blog, Inspiration

Sunday is sheets day

Happy Sunday everyone! My Sunday is nearly over now. I've just tucked into a beautiful steak followed by a nice, healthy apple, pear and peach crumble made by yours truly. So based on that alone I think it's fair to say that I've had a pretty good Sunday. But it goes a lot further than that. I've been exposed to the idea of washing our bed sheets on a Sunday rather than mid-week and I am completely taken by it. I got the idea from Holly of the podcast Bookish Blether which I highly recommend…

A book review of Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell Eleanor And Park, Rainbow Rowell, Book Review, First Love, Novels, Lemon, Lifestyle, Reading, Books

Eleanor & Park | A review

On Goodreads | Buy Eleanor and Park is a young adult novel about two teenagers who find their first love in one another during their bus trips to school. Eleanor stands out from the crown with big, red hair and odd clothing where as Park is quite happy blending in and not being noticed by anyone. Despite their differences, among comic books, mix tapes and secret meetings they manage to find that all consuming first true love. Let's start my saying Rowell is a brilliant writer and clearly has…

Favourite booktubers

Sorry about this awful image Lately I've been feeling really uninspired to read. When that happens, which it does, I find the best thing to cure it is good bout of BookTube. What's booktube you ask? Well it's that part of YouTube completely dedicated to books and reading. People who love books and reading upload videos reviewing, recommending and hauling books and for me it really gets me in the mood for reading. So today I thought I'd share with you some of my favourite booktube channels…

Reading goals 2015

Last year was the first year I decided to make 'reading resolutions'. It's not something I've really ever felt the need to make resolutions for, I read what I want, when I want and I enjoy it. However, last year I fancied setting a couple of challenges and also thought it would be a good way to cut down my TBR pile. Well it would have been had I not failed a completing a single one of my reading resolutions. Every single resolution I made fell by the wayside when I started my course and then…
