Tsavo East National Park

Tsavo East National Park covers an area of about 12,000 km2 and 40% of Kenya's parks' total area. The park has a beautiful landscape of plains, rocky ridges and outcrops. Bordered beyond the Galana River by the length of the Yatta Plateau. One of the great spectacles of the park is the Mudanda rock between Voi and Manyani. This 1 1/2 km long outcrop is a water catchment area which supplies a natural dam at its base. In the dry season elephants come to drink and bathe.

Voi Wildlife Lodge- Nestled in the heart of elephant country, Voi Wildlife Lodge is located in the Savannah grasslands of Tsavo East, just 5km off the main highway connecting the capital Nairobi to Mombasa. The lodge is situated on a 25-acre site on the boundary of Tsavo East National Park, one of Kenya's largest game parks with spectacular views of nearby volcanic outcrops, such as the Kasigau, Sagalla and Mwakingali Hills.

The camp has the atmosphere of the pioneer camps of long ago while providing the luxury of a permanent camp with modern amenities. The main guest area consists of the reception, lounge area, restaurant and bar. Tsavo East National Park is one of the world's largest game reserves, providing undeveloped wilderness homes to vast numbers of animals with over 500 bird species recorded in the area.

The camp is surrounded by Boskia trees and othe local vegetation and it over looks a waterhole where the animals come to drink.

Each room is self-contained with bathroom with shower, flush WC., hot and cold water is available. The windows are covered by mosquito-wire to protect guests of insects and nets are provided.     The main building is covered by a big makuti roof. A mixture of European and African Cusine in fresh quality is offered.
