All these women in the first row, are based in the Hungarian-speaking region of Transylvania where they practice the art of 'Irasos' embroidery. I work with the Tarnat - Kalotaszeg Durabil Foundation in the Kalotaszeg area of Transylvania, Romania who like myself, are committed to protecting, preserving and increasing the worth of traditional craftsmanship in the area.

The handbag is embroidered by the local seamstress. Note: the wooden gate is turned by local carpenters who are trained in the art of Transylvanian wood carvings.
