Anthony Gormley - Field - The artist used clay which is a none resistant material to create the models. I like this piece because all of the individual sculptures are different from each other. I also like the arrangement of the model's.
I saw these when they were displayed at Tullie house in Carlisle. There was a room full of them which you viewed from a small platform, they all seemed to be looking up at you making you feel like their God.
Over the last 25 years Antony Gormley has revitalised the human image in sculpture through a radical investigation of the body as a place of memory and transformation, using his own body as subject, tool and material.
