Still not enough shoes to cover it so we had to ask more children to bring their shoes. Then finally we had enough to cover the whole print. We estimated how many shoes there are... eleventen, 26, 3 Next we counted and found that it took 34 shoes to cover one dinosaur footprint. Wow! Then we read…

* Sensory Box: Zoo Box
"C" suggested that we make a Zoo Box a few weeks ago and I thought it was a great idea. I'm always up for a new sensory box. We Re-Cycled our dry Black-Eyed Peas box (it was our Halloween Sensory box this fall) and added some Zoo Animals. We rounded up some play fences from our Play Mobil farm and some fences from our various "lands" I liked the way she built extra"cages" for animals outside of the box. Dinosaurs + Mud Play Dough
Yesterday I had a project to work on, so I dug out the mud play dough we used at our last Play & Learn Class and added E's dinosaurs. Before I even suggested it, she was making dinosaur tracks and impressions. To make the play dough, I used this recipe. It has cocoa in it, so it smells amazing! This kept E busy for even longer than it took me to finish my project! I'm going to "dig" this back out next week and add her construction vehicles to the mix!
